amulet

the form stumbled

upon a seamless

human dream

it whispered

be with me,

be in me,

beneath a coated tongue

beside our fury,

tender sorrow,

cascading violence,

childhood freshness,

effervescent grief —

an estuary

of

magenta stillness

where human dreams

become starlight,

twinkles of longing —

swallow such love,

our love,

then stitch

this love to

all exiled love we

cannot name

while our spoken dream

bleeds,

shatters

ingests

time, truth, trinkets

into breaths,

into amulets,

into poems

of belonging
